In 1952, there was a baseball game in the first All-Army Games of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. In 1959, at the first National Games, baseball was listed as an official competition. There were 23 provinces and city teams participating, and the Beijing team won the championship. In 1975, at the 3rd National Games, the baseball games were held in the preliminaries and finals in Luda and Beijing respectively. The first was Tianjin. In the 4th National Games in 1979, there were 14 provinces, the city team participated in the baseball game, and the champion was the Beijing team. In September 1975, the Aichi University baseball team came to China to visit the competition. China began the international exchange of baseball. In August 1976, the Japanese Hosei University baseball team visited. In 1979, China's baseball and softball association was established, and various provinces and municipalities also established chapters.
